Today we caught a glimpse of our first glacier and it helped to whet our appetites for more. The weather was overcast, with just a few patches of blue sky. We saw lots of albatross and several pods of seals. No penguins yet, but when we came back from dinner tonight we found a stuffed penguin on each of our pillows.
Last night Ed was chosen to play the final match of the Battle of the Sexes. Unfortunately the pictures I took are too dark to put on the blog, but he sure was cute when he was playing. The guys creamed the women, but only because one of the women didn’t speak very good English so she didn’t always understand the questions. But don’t tell Ed I said so.
Norovirus update: Finally, after almost two weeks, we have self-service in the Lido café and bread and butter on the dinner tables so I think we have it licked. But we still have to sing Happy Birthday all the way through when we wash our hands and sanitize, sanitize, sanitize!!!
Tomorrow we fly to King George Island to set foot on Antarctica. Our tablemate, Bruce, is going too and he was just like a little kid on Christmas Eve tonight. He couldn’t wait to go to bed so he could wake up!
